POINTING YOUR DOMAIN

This is one of the most common questions that we get when clients are setting up their websites! 💻

In order for visitors to see your website when they visit your domain, you have to make sure the two are connected first! This is called “pointing your domain”. ➡️

In order to point your domain you will need to have registered your domain and ordered a web hosting account. ☑️

There are two options to choose from on how to point your domain. Many web hosting accounts will make it easy for you and all you will have to do is type in your domain registrar credentials to connect. However - there are often errors when doing this which is why we recommend the second method.

The other method involves adding your web hosts’ DNS (Domain Name Server) settings to your domain registrar. Most web hosts will offer instructions for popular domain registrars, however, if you need assistance please reach out to us here at Meta Gals! 🍻
